Susan Davis, for far too long, has only been a “puppet vote” for the Nancy Pelosi agenda in Washington, D.C. She no longer considers what might be best for San Diego and her constituents, but what is best for Nancy Pelosi and the liberal special interests. Her voting record clearly demonstrates this fact.

Here are 12 positions where I strongly differ with Susan Davis.

National Security: We must defend & secure all our borders and ports of entry.

War on Terror: The United States must accomplish the mission to stabilize Iraq and win in Afghanistan, while also protecting our Nation from terrorism at home and threats from abroad.

Illegal Immigration: I do not support the granting of amnesty to illegal immigrants or providing them with gateway documents. All legal guest workers must have mandatory tamper-proof ID cards.

Reducing the Deficit: Federal spending must be drastically reduced and the federal budget balanced. We cannot continue printing money and borrowing from foreign banks without causing severe damage to our economy and our children’s futures.

Taxes: In this recession, taxes must be lowered in order to put your hard-earned dollars back into your pockets!

Job Creation: The Federal Government needs to invest in supporting private sector job creation, rather than more unionized government jobs. By offering hiring incentives, grants for new businesses, and encouraging banks to lend money, we can grow the private sector economy and create jobs now.

Energy: We must start digging, drilling, and mining operations onshore & offshore today, so that we can begin paying less tomorrow. Alternative fuels and energy resources are the way of the future, but we must begin investing and building green and nuclear power plants now. Cap and Trade will only hurt and hinder our goals for a cleaner energy future and drive energy prices ever skyward.

Health Care: New health care legislation must be passed to repair the flaws in the recently passed health care bill. We must provide greater protections to the doctor-patient relationship and remove the legal mandate for single payer health care. Greater enforcement is also needed to prosecute all cases of fraud & abuse.

Education: “No Child Left Behind” must be modified and restructured. Presently, it is not working effectively. We must also expand charter schools and provide voucher opportunities for students to have a wider selection of school choice.

Family & Parental Rights: I support all pro family and parental rights initiatives.

2nd Amendment: I support and defend the constitutional right to private ownership of firearms.

Troops & Veterans: The Federal Government must honor all commitments made, past & present, to our troops and veterans.
